This is a message to the human race.
I think we have done enough and I think the message is loud and clear.
It’s time to think about what we’ve done and how we can change things for the better.
The planet is sending us a strong message
I read the signs as following: This Corona Virus is horrible and I’m praying for those that have died and those that are ill but this is natures way of saying that we need to take her more serious.
I don’t believe in god or the mystics, but something is sending us a strong signal.
The situation is opening my eye and I hope it’s opening yours as well. We as humans, in the end, have nothing to say at all.
Mother nature is still the boss of this show.
Your life is small and my life is small so we have to know our place and we need to respect the planet.
In my mind, Gaia is telling us to stop treating her like shit. She’s telling us to reflect on the harm that we’ve done to her. She’s telling us that we have to take more care of the sparse resources and that we should be content with a little less air travel, or less spending on new gadgets and finally a little less focus on unlimited growth and shareholder value.
For the coming days, I’m thinking hard about the planet and about what I can do to take better care of the planet. We can all do something so I will be doing something better today because I can and because I believe in the signs.
It is our responsibility to learn from the Corona Virus outbreak and to look at what we’ve done with the planet. It’s our responsibility because we humans have set the stage for such an outbreak. I know that this type of virus outbreaks are from all centuries but that should not matter. It is a natural disaster whatsoever. It is our obligations as actors in the system of life to learn from this situation.
My biggest fear is not the virus
Once this is all over, I fear that life will just go on as it used to.
Knowing herd mentality I fear people will learn nothing.
People don’t want to learn, we want to consume, watch porn, drink alcohol, feel great on cheap and quick dopamine highs.
In the end, learning is not the easiest way out, that’s why it’s not preferred. Our brains are just wired to go for the easiest way out.
But that is not what I hope and wish for. I hope people will not chicken out and take the easy road. I hope people will realise that we are part of an ecosystem and that we have a place in it. And we need to know our place. I hope people will reflect and think about their own impact on this planet.
We need to be responsible. We need to think about waste, pollution, water usage and recycling. Everyone needs to do something. This is a must if we want to preserve the earth and keep it livable for many future generations.
Let’s do it together. Trust me, doing something that is good for the planet will feel good in the long run. One step at a time.
