Below are some quick reflections I wrote down after finishing my first guided psychedelic trip.
It was an experience of a lifetime.
Something I will never forget.
It is like nothing else I’ve ever done in my life.
I saw so much. For instance.
This medicine showed me my future child playing with my mother.
The funny thing is that my wife will give birth to twins in the coming weeks.
So the vision was slightly off, to say the least, or maybe it just showed one of the two. Who knows.
I talked to my deceased granddad about my dad and that I was worried for him.
Then, I saw angels that gave me strange bronze necklaces.
This medicine is so generous in what it gives you.
It’s hard to explain.
You get out of it what you bring into it.
If you’re about to do a psychedelic trip yourself. Try to be relaxed. Rest beforehand and take some time to de-stress. I took some time off before my ceremony, which really helped me be open and comfortable during the ceremony.
On the other hand, my partner was stressed out and mentally down before the ceremony. I think that’s one reason why her journey was less pleasant and more dreadful than fun.
You need to expect nothing.
The guides told us that you should try to leave all your expectations at the door. Be open, they said. Try to expect nothing. They said the medicine will show you what you need to see, and for me, that was the case.
I expected nothing, and I was totally open to anything that came to me. I think that’s why so much came to me in the end.
This plant medicine changed how I look at life. I’m still discovering new memories from the whole night.
I will do it again because this is only the start.
I would recommend that everyone who feels drawn to this medicine take the plunge, but remember, I’m no doctor, so everything is at your own risk.
Have a good one!
